We take your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical data very seriously. When you use the MenCare app, we collect the following categories of information:

2. Device Permissions and Usage
MenCare requests specific device permissions strictly to deliver core tele-healthcare features:
- Camera (`android.permission.CAMERA`): Used exclusively during live video consultations with verified doctors, or when capturing photographs of handwritten prescriptions and medical reports.
- Microphone (`android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO`): Required for real-time audio/video consultations and voice chat with healthcare practitioners.
- Storage & Media Access (`READ_MEDIA_IMAGES` / `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`): Used solely to allow you to select and upload existing medical documents, previous prescriptions, or profile pictures.
- Push Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Used to send timely alerts for upcoming appointments, incoming audio/video doctor calls, and prescription delivery notices.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide reliable, encrypted real-time communication and cloud services, MenCare integrates with trusted industry-standard SDKs:
- Agora RTC Engine: Facilitates end-to-end encrypted real-time audio and video calling between patients and healthcare professionals.
- Google Firebase: Provides secure Cloud Messaging (FCM) for critical appointment alerts and authenticated cloud storage.
- Authorized Payment Gateways: Securely processes payments for consultations and medicine orders. We do not store raw credit/debit card numbers or bank PINs on our servers.
4. Data Protection and Security
All medical information and communications are transmitted via secure HTTPS/TLS encrypted channels. Telemedicine records, prescriptions, and user profiles are stored in secure cloud databases with strict access control.
5. User Data Deletion & Account Control
You have complete ownership of your personal information. If at any time you wish to delete your account, remove your consultation history, or purge uploaded medical records, you may do so through:
- In-App: Navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Direct Email Request: Send an email to our designated privacy team at helviontechproject@gmail.com with your registered phone number.
Upon receiving your request, all associated personal and medical data will be permanently deleted from our primary servers within 30 days, except data required to be retained by applicable medical regulations or financial tax laws.
6. Children's Privacy
MenCare is not targeted towards children under the age of 13 without parental or guardian consent. Consultations for minors must be initiated and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
